As soon as you login, the gateway will open and you have access to usenet. Sometimes, depending on how busy the newsguy servers are, it may take a little time, so don't be alarmed if you have to wait a couple of seconds. First, the connection needs to be established and scripts on the newsguy server need to execute to open up a slot for you. Usually the connection is almost instant, but sometimes, you may just have to wait a few seconds. Technical Requirements Your computer needs to be "cookie enabled". If you cannot recveive cookies, you cannot access the gateway. If you have enabled your cookies but still getting asked for a password, contact the wise people at support@pathlink.com. They will help you with your settings and are more then happy to help you getting you going. Remember - No Cookies ? No Gateway! Encoding Usually, all the fine jpg's and gif's are an easy download. Yenc encryptions are the exeption. If you are in thumbnail mode and cannot download yenc encrypted files, change over to album view. All the yencs beome visible and available.
